Basic information

Given the current COVID-19 environment we have temporarily disabled our ‘feedback’ feature. We apologise for any inconvenience.

At Te Wiremu House Lifecare, we believe in providing personable, compassionate, safe, respectful care, adding value to the quality of everyday living. Set in within the complex, Bruere Village is set to become a welcoming, modern retirement village offering you independence, community and security.

In 2011, with the assistance of The Bruere Trust, The Bruere Retirement village was opened next to Te Wiremu House. Currently, the village comprises of three x two bedroom Licence to Occupy villas. In 2012 the Bruere GP clinic was opened on site.

We know it is very important to offer choices and to really listen to what our residents and their families want. Recognising the individual needs of our residents and to promote a friendly and comfortable environment is an important part of our philosophy. Respecting the dignity, beliefs and culture of all helps us make each day the best it can be.

Our residents and their families comment on the homely feeling we have created here. We would be delighted to have the opportunity to talk with you about our care. Please phone our Property Manager, or feel free to drop in at any time.

NOTE: The Retirement Villages Act 2003 (The Act) is designed to provide improved protection for people who ‘buy’ into a retirement village. If you intend to ‘purchase’ you must get independent legal advice before signing your occupation right agreement as required under The Act. Some Retirement Village type facilities are not required to register under The Act so different legal requirements apply. Please make sure you investigate fully.

In some villages there may be some Retirement Village units that have multiple uses e.g. a Serviced Apartment may also be used as a Residential Care Suite. The same unit may therefore show in several places on Eldernet.
