Summerset on Summerhill is located north east of Palmerston North city. The village is elevated and overlooks a lush patchwork of superb Manawatu farmland. Backed by the Tararua Ranges it is built on a spacious level site and enjoys all day sun.

The village is on an extensive spur with several leisure walkways adjacent, linking to the nearby Poutoa Reserve, Perrin Park and the beautiful Bledisloe Park.

The recreation centre is the heart of Summerset at Summerhill. It is home to a range of wonderful facilities including the village café, library, resident lounges and social spaces, hair and beauty salon, exercise room and pool table.

Our village offers a range of villas and apartments for independent living.

One of the benefits of living in a Summerset village is knowing that should your needs change, a range of care options are available. Our modern care centre offers rest home and hospital-level care within the village.

For singles and couples who wish to remain independent, we also offer support and care up to rest home level in our spacious serviced apartments.

NOTE: The Retirement Villages Act 2003 (The Act) is designed to provide improved protection for people who ‘buy’ into a retirement village. If you intend to ‘purchase’ you must get independent legal advice before signing your occupation right agreement as required under The Act. Some Retirement Village type facilities are not required to register under The Act so different legal requirements apply. Please make sure you investigate fully.

In some villages there may be some Retirement Village units that have multiple uses e.g. a Serviced Apartment may also be used as a Residential Care Suite. The same unit may therefore show in several places on Eldernet.
