Description
Residents are always on-the-go at Summerset down the Lane.

Our retirement village provides the best of both worlds – a country-style village fringed by a vibrant new residential suburb – within Hamilton City.

The village centre is the heart of the village. It is home to a range of wonderful facilities including the Divine Café, library, resident lounges and social spaces, hair salon, pool table, exercise room and spa.

Our village offers a range of villas and townhouses for independent living.

One of the benefits of living in a Summerset village is knowing that should your needs change, a range of care options are available to you. Our on-site care centre offers rest home and hospital-level care.

For singles and couples who wish to remain independent, we also offer support and care up to rest home level in our spacious serviced apartments.

To find out more, call us on 0800 334 404 or request a free information pack by clicking on the button at the top of the screen.

Testimonials
Val Wood's home faces a wide driveway boarded by large willows, London plane and liquid amber trees. It’s like living in the country, she says. She can hear birds flitting through the leaves of the majestic tree lined lane, has apples to pick off the many fruit trees which are strategically located in the village, and in the fall can smell hay which has been cut locally.

But Val lives ten minutes from the center of Hamilton, she’s four minutes from the library, the supermarket and a good cafe.

“It’s really like being in the country but having the convenience of the city. There is a sense of peace here, it’s calm.”

Val was one of the village’s first residents. She has watched the village grow and says it has been fascinating to watch.

Val hadn’t planned on moving to a retirement village straight away. Her friend took her along to a presentation about Summerset. She was drawn more by the promise of an afternoon tea and a chat than the village itself. She was surprised.

“I came away really impressed. I love the fact there are four buttons you can press if you need help. I love that I can easily transfer to one of Summerset’s other 27 villages if I get to the point I need to be closer to family.”

Credentials & Membership

NOTE: The Retirement Villages Act 2003 (The Act) is designed to provide improved protection for people who ‘buy’ into a retirement village. If you intend to ‘purchase’ you must get independent legal advice before signing your occupation right agreement as required under The Act. Some Retirement Village type facilities are not required to register under The Act so different legal requirements apply. Please make sure you investigate fully.

In some villages there may be some Retirement Village units that have multiple uses e.g. a Serviced Apartment may also be used as a Residential Care Suite. The same unit may therefore show in several places on Eldernet.
