Welcome to Nazareth Care - a state-of-the art co-located rest home and hospital, located on beautiful grounds at 220 Brougham St, Sydenham. Our 65 modern, architecturally designed independent villas are also situated at Nazareth Community of Care.
Our villas exude comfort and tranquility in a park-like setting. Each villa is within close proximity to our residential aged care facility and hospital levels of care, in addition to our chapel, gift shop, consulting suite, hairdressing salon, cinema and café.

Our Villas come fully fitted with soft furnishings (drapes , venetian blinds, roller blinds) and carpets.
Big screen TV and amplifier included in living area unit.
Electric Fireplace
Dish drawer, oven and cook top.
Heat pump is in the ceiling connecting all rooms, therefore the whole villa is the same temperature.
Interests & activities
Our activity program is published with the monthly newsletter.
Bi- monthly Residents meetings with Management is scheduled throughout the year where residents are informed and consulted on general matters within the village.

City buses run every 15 minutes with stops in nearby Colombo St.
Shops
Plenty of supermarket and shopping options are right on the doorstep. Walking distance to The Colombo and Sydenham shops, and a few minutes drive (or bus) to Ballantynes, the city, to St Martins, Barrington, Tower Centre, Addington, and Riccarton shops.
Mall
The Colombo Mall is within walking distance, and a five minute drive to Barrington Mall, South City, the Re:Start and The Tannery. Tower Centre is close, as is Riccarton Mall.
Parks
The Community of Care is adjacent to Sydenham Park and bowling club.
Library
Library services are handy - for example, at Beckenham and Barrington. Mobile Library weekly.

Mythbusting - Retirement Villages are a rip-off
Why it’s considered a worthwhile investment.
NOTE: The Retirement Villages Act 2003 (The Act) is designed to provide improved protection for people who 'buy' into a retirement village. If you intend to 'purchase' you must get independent legal advice before signing your occupation right agreement as required under The Act. Some Retirement Village type facilities are not required to register under The Act so different legal requirements apply. Please make sure you investigate fully.
In some villages there may be some Retirement Village units that have multiple uses e.g. a Serviced Apartment may also be used as a Residential Care Suite. The same unit may therefore show in several places on Eldernet.
