Negotiate To Bring Own Pet Yes One neutered, vaccinated cat already owned by the incoming resident may be permitted to reside in a new Resident’s Villa with the pre-settlement approval of the Village Manager. Cats and gold fish are the most common pets residing in the Village.
Outings Yes Residents enjoy regular van outings including a weekly mystery bus trip. Other times include lunch at a venue or an orgainised trip to a particular event.

Our Garden House & Village Green are the focus of companionship, leisure and fun. Enjoyed by our village residents, it offers a delightful cafe where village residents may entertain friends or just sit in the sun and enjoy a complementary cup of coffee or tea with light refreshments.

Also included are a poolroom, library and function/movie room , which has become a regular venue for weekly games of bridge. Outside the Garden House is the croquet green.

With the aim of encouraging fellowship, together with fun & laughter this makes Merivale a special place to be.

We encourage family participation by having various functions throughout the year.

We offer a range of activities to suit individual needs in a safe and caring environment. As well as in-house activities there are frequent planned outings and these are extremely popular providing much interest and appeal.
