Description
Hibiscus Coast Village offers a friendly and caring retirement lifestyle. Situated on a beautifully landscaped 6 hectares site in Red Beach this village is surrounded by numerous tranquil beaches which you can enjoy picnics, swimming and relaxing.

Residents have the choice of living in either one of 150 independent units, or one of 71 luxury Links apartments, or one of 48 serviced apartments – which offer freedom of household duties including cleaning, cooking and laundry. All units and apartments provide residents with private, comfortable living and the peace of mind that comes with knowing that 24-hour emergency help is available at the touch of a button using the emergency call system installed in all units. The village has a range of price options and is home to over 350 happy residents.

If life at home is a struggle for you or your loved ones, our assisted living in serviced apartments provides the perfect balance between support and care.

"When Mum was still at home we'd have to spend time doing the vacuuming, the laundry and things like that. Now we come in, enjoy each other's company and make the most of every moment we have together," says daughter of a Serviced Apartment resident.
Testimonials
The staff are absolutely super – so helpful and reliable and I am always impressed by the cleanliness of the village. The public areas are spotless! Even during the community centre renovation, great care was taken by the staff to keep the building clean and tidy so as not to disturb the residents enabling them to continue with their daily lives.

The facilities here are marvellous with plenty of activities to keep you busy. There is a lovely new gym which I go to as often as I can and I enjoy the line dancing classes. The library has a large selection of very good books including books with large print. The bar and shop is very popular and they even have a wonderful workshop which is very popular with the men.
Mrs Jocelyn Martin

My family thought my move to the village was rather premature (I'm still in my '70's) but after my traumatic years of moving house every two years, I had had enough!

I am delighted with my serviced apartment, enough furniture to fit my needs and feel so thankful that I can feel safe and well-fed as well! Plus I don't have to move again which is so important to me. I can rest now and am very happy thanks to the marvellous staff who are always ready to assist in any way they can. I love them all!"

NOTE: The Retirement Villages Act 2003 (The Act) is designed to provide improved protection for people who ‘buy’ into a retirement village. If you intend to ‘purchase’ you must get independent legal advice before signing your occupation right agreement as required under The Act. Some Retirement Village type facilities are not required to register under The Act so different legal requirements apply. Please make sure you investigate fully.

In some villages there may be some Retirement Village units that have multiple uses e.g. a Serviced Apartment may also be used as a Residential Care Suite. The same unit may therefore show in several places on Eldernet. The DHB Shared Services website provides additional information about this service.
