OUR LOCATION
Discover a vibrant community where you can live life on your terms, surrounded by old-world English country charm right in the centre of Whanganui. Whether you're taking a stroll around the stunning Virginia Lake Reserve with its winter gardens and lakeside café, browsing the shops at Trafalgar Square Shopping Centre, or enjoying a meal at one of the many nearby cafés and restaurants, there is always something to see and do.

Ideally located in St Johns Hill, Abingdon Village provides easy access to everything Whanganui has to offer - from New World and Woolworths supermarkets and the Whanganui District Library, to the Splash Centre aquatic facility and the Wanganui Bowling Club - all within 2.5km of your front door.

A FULL RANGE OF POSITIVE AGEING SERVICES
One of the best things about a move to Abingdon Village is that you can focus entirely on enjoying your retirement while we take care of the rest. We look after property maintenance and gardening, so you can spend your time doing the things you enjoy most - whether that's socialising with neighbours in the historic Abingdon House community centre, joining a friendly card game in one of the shared lounges, or simply relaxing in your private courtyard.

Retirement is not about slowing down; it's about spending time doing the things you enjoy the most, and a move to Abingdon Village lets you make the most of every day.

ENLIVEN'S NOT-FOR-PROFIT PROMISE
When you choose to invest in an Abingdon Village villa, you're not just securing your retirement home; you're also supporting a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to enhancing retirees' lives and sustaining our rest home services.

Rest assured, if you ever need additional support, you'll find comfort in knowing that residents of Abingdon Village receive preferential entry into our Enliven rest homes - including the nearby Kōwhainui Home, which provides short and long-term rest home care, specialist hospital care, and a day programme.
