Retirement Village

Retirement Living At Its Best!

Waihi Lifecare Village offers you the opportunity to spend your retirement years in the tranquil rural surroundings of Waihi Lifecare Hospital and Resthome, situated close to central Waihi, the “gateway” to the Coromandel.

Waihi is a friendly, active community with a variety of clubs and associations to choose from. The beach is also close at hand and the surrounding countryside boasts interesting walks with historical points of interest, such as the “old pump house”. Waihi’s central location is a bonus with the Waikato, Bay of Plenty and Auckland only a short distance away.

The cottage style homes in a rural village setting are reminiscent of early New Zealand. All the cottages are architecturally designed to meet the unique needs of our residents. The one and two bedroom self-contained cottages are available with an optional conservatory. We have a van available to give people the opportunity to travel into town, beach, etc.

Waihi Lifecare Village is a Unit Title development. Each unit has its own unique certificate of title, being a stratum of freehold.

NOTE: The Retirement Villages Act 2003 (The Act) is designed to provide improved protection for people who ‘buy’ into a retirement village. If you intend to ‘purchase’ you must get independent legal advice before signing your occupation right agreement as required under The Act. Some Retirement Village type facilities are not required to register under The Act so different legal requirements apply. Please make sure you investigate fully.

In some villages there may be some Retirement Village units that have multiple uses e.g. a Serviced Apartment may also be used as a Residential Care Suite. The same unit may therefore show in several places on Eldernet.
