Basic information
Nestled in the scenic Tāhunanui Hills, the Coastal View Lifestyle Village, in Nelson, is conveniently located close to the city and just a short drive from Tāhunanui Beach.

Coastal View’s sunny and spacious houses offer a variety of options, with two or three bedrooms and single or double garages. Each house has open-plan living and areas flowing seamlessly onto beautiful landscaped gardens.

With broad, sweeping views over Tasman Bay, the Yacht Club—exclusively for village residents and their guests—features a restaurant, café, bar, bakery, gym, movie theatre, indoor swimming pool, spa, library, wellness centre, and more. The Yacht Club serves as the social and recreational heart of Coastal View Lifestyle Village. It’s a premium community hub designed for relaxation, engagement, and wellness. Residents are able to join TRILife exercise classes, watch celebrity guest speakers, enjoy cabaret evenings and dance to live music without leaving the village.

Coastal View has a resthome/hospital facility and a separate specialised dementia centre. Both facilities are single storey, with large apartment-sized care suites - each with ensuites... and personal decks, leading to tranquil gardens.

Coastal View is a subsidiary of Qestral Corporation Limited, owners and operators of new-generation retirement villages throughout Aotearoa including Burlington, Alpine View and Banbury Park in Christchurch, and Ashbury Heights in Whangarei, with future developments underway in Hamilton (Broadwater).

At the recent World Ageing Festival in Singapore, Qestral’s TRILife Wellness Programme won the 2025 innovation award - recognised as the best global programme encouraging participation of older persons to support active
ageing through lifestyle activities.

NOTE: The Retirement Villages Act 2003 (The Act) is designed to provide improved protection for people who 'buy' into a retirement village. If you intend to 'purchase' you must get independent legal advice before signing your occupation right agreement as required under The Act. Some Retirement Village type facilities are not required to register under The Act so different legal requirements apply. Please make sure you investigate fully.

In some villages there may be some Retirement Village units that have multiple uses e.g. a Serviced Apartment may also be used as a Residential Care Suite. The same unit may therefore show in several places on Eldernet.
