Located in Leamington, a short distance away from the charming town of Cambridge is Ultimate Care Cambridge Oakdale. Purpose-built to a very high standard, our rest home has a hospital wing allowing residents to enjoy the full continuum of care. It also has a dementia facility offering specialised, secure care for those assessed with Stage 3 Dementia.

Along with high quality accommodation our landscaped gardens offer views across the commons with local amenities and shops within walking distance. Transport is provided for community activities and weekly outings.

With an extensive activities programme, the rest home has something for everyone, from quizzes, movie nights and concerts, through to mini gold, crafts, and sing-alongs.

Our dedicated team of nurses and caregivers offer an unparalleled quality of personalised care backed by industry-leading qualifications and training. We offer quality accommodation and deliver the very best in care.

Our Facility Manager, loves seeing her residents happiness as the morning activities get into full swing. "Our home, is our residents home, and we have created an environment with a real sense of belonging for all our residents and their families".

I am writing on behalf of our dad who passed away June 29, 2018. The staff and management at Oakdale were absolutely outstanding, and we want to let you know that. In the newly appointed Manager Katie and Clinical Manager Marianne, you have two exceptional leaders. As a family, we were shown compassion, sensitivity and exceptional professionalism. We were made to feel like family and encouraged to make ourselves at home. For us it was a challenging situation and we didn't know what to expect. We received constant reassurance and support. It was a privilege to be able to participate as the team (some of who's names i did not catch) came together. Everyone spoke to dad and maintained his dignity. We are lucky, so very lucky, and we wish to commend the staff at Oakdale and are so pleased our Mum resides here to. - The Reilly Family

While my wife was only in your care for 5 months I feel we are deeply in debt to Oakdale. Every minute of the 5 months was full of the very best of care, love and empathy. Her constant smile was a testament to that care. As I said at her funeral, "if you want to find a hero, just visit a rest home, Oakdale especially". - The Reid family

Registered Nurse Yes We have a team of committed registered nurses who strive to ensure residents needs are being met. Our team of registered nurses cover all shifts 24/7.
Healthcare Assistants/Caregivers Yes We have a team of caregivers who are committed to providing the best possible care for all of our residents. Our Caregivers undergo regular training and education.
Physiotherapist Yes Our Physiotherapist visits twice weekly who is able to cater to an individual plan for our residents.
Occupational Therapist Yes We have access to a qualified Occupational Therapist who can assess our residents needs.
Social Worker (on site) Yes We have a Community Social Worker who can have referrals made to.
Activities Co-ordinator Yes We have two fantastic activities coordinators who take care of the activities programme and raise smiles out of all our residents. There is always lot's of laughter and fun packed days if you want to join in.
Hairdresser Yes We have our own salon on site so no need to worry about getting out to the hairdressers.
Podiatrist Yes Our contracted Podiatrist will visit once every six weeks routinely.
Dietitian Yes All of our menus have been approved by a dietitian. We can make a referral to dietitian services if this is required for individual consultation.
Chaplain/Spiritual Advisor Yes We can access a Chaplin through the various church groups which visit. This can be arranged on an individual basis as required.
Other Personnel Yes We have a team of experts at our National Support Office that consists of clinical support, financial support and property support

End of Life/Palliative Care Yes Generally speaking, people who are dying need care in four areas, physical comfort, mental and emotional needs, spiritual issues, and practical tasks. Their families need support as well. It is our goal to provide all of this at the end stage of life.
Wound Care Yes We have highly trained clinical nurses lead by our National Clinical Coach who can provide the best care for any wounds requiring treatment.
Diabetic Care Yes All of our registered nurses are skilled to assist with the management of diabetes. We are able to support you with your diabetic needs.
Continence Advice Yes Our registered nurses have been trained to assess for continence requirements and work closely with our suppliers to ensure any continence products you require are of the highest quality.
Stomal Therapy No We do not have a stomal therapist on staff, but if required we would refer to the DHB stomal services for advice.
Stroke Rehabilitation Yes If you have unfortunately suffered from a stroke we can assist you with your post recovery requirements
Infection Control Yes Our organisation has a very robust infection control programme that has been endorsed by the Medical Officer of Health.
Surgical Followup Yes If your coming to stay with us post-surgery we can following an assessment of your needs provide the recovery needs you require.
Clinical Management Yes We have a full-time Clinical Services Manager who provides support to our Nurses and Caregivers and all care of our Residents.
