Description
Maples Lifecare provide a high standard of care in a friendly and loving environment. Because we are a relatively small facility, we pride ourselves on "every one knowing your name"
Our policy is: for all staff to provide support in activities of daily living and a high standard of nursing care. To ensure the residents’ needs are met with sensitivity and respect.
Our objective is - to work positively as a team giving individualised quality care, and to provide a supportive, caring and safe environment for both our residents and our staff.
Our staff are a blend of ethnic diversity, with a mix of age and experience. This brings an added richness to our living environment for one and all.

"Lamb Roast was superb. The meat was tender, complete with mint sauce and gravy. Roast potato and pumpkin was beautiful - lovely roast flavour and colour. A very yummy meal - I really enjoyed it. Thank you."

Rooms suitable for a couple Yes One modern room with lovely décor facing east onto an internal path and garden. Wake up to the sun beaming into the room while having your breakfast in bed or at the table provided. This room also offers a large, full ensuite and shower.

Policy for management of challenging behaviour Yes Staff training and appropriate staff/resident ratios allow for early identification of any resident anxiety/restlessness. Should this occur, calming and defusing techniques are used to manage the resident until they settle.

Neville and I are experienced in operating aged care facilites (over 30 years experience between us)and committed operators. We enjoy working with all sorts of people. Maple's cheerful staff, create a relaxed friendly atmosphere, as they provide care with respect and sensitivity.
We provide rest home care, hospital lebel care plus serviced units for those people requiring semi-independent accomodation. We also specialise in short term [Respite Care] by dedicating premium, large sized rooms with a full shower ensuite.

Details about Meals All meals and baking are cooked on site. Four weekly rotational menu developed by a dietitian. We cater for all your dietary needs-eg diabetic, weight reduction, vegetarian etc. Our meals are nutritious, tasty, hot and varied. We serve meals sizes that suit your appetite. If you are a large eater you may receive a second helping. Biscuits are available at all times in our cake tins. Breakfast in bed for those who wish.
Staffing Qualifications and Details We have a wonderful group of committed and caring staff working at Maples Lifecare with many staff serving more then 10 years. We encourage and support professional development activities for staff.
What's included in your fees and what's not We currently have our fee structure set out in our resthome booklet which can be posted to you on request. Our standard resthome care rate is as per the Canterbury DHB contracted ARRC fee. Please note all rest home rooms have a toilet ensuite, some have a full shower ensuite. There is no extra charge for a standard room with toilet ensuite.
