Description
An attractive, friendly community in the centre of Auckland’s North Shore, Greenvalley provides a high standard of rest home and dementia care.

Greenvalley residents receive the assistance they need to be comfortable and content. The daily care fee, which is set under our contract with the local health authority, covers a core care package. Other services are available on demand for an additional charge.

Services covered by contracted care:

*Accommodation, meals, cleaning and laundry
*Nursing and other care, plus other health services if prescribed by a doctor
* GP visits on an as-needed basis
* All prescribed medication costs (Pharmac approved)
* Physiotherapist onsite once per week to look at any concerns and follow up on excercise programes.
* Activities programme
* Transport for health reasons, i.e. to and from local public hospital

Activities and outings

There’s plenty to do for those who are in the mood for recreation – arts and craft activities, there is a knitting club which meets together each week for a knit and a chat. Exercise groups, music, guest speakers and scenic excursions, just to mention a few. Our Activities Team keep the programmes varied and interesting.
There are several parks close by and Glenfield Westfield shopping centre is a short drive away.

Specialised dementia care

The dementia care part of Greenvalley was upgraded and improved in late 2013. It is homely and comfortable, with an engaging daily activity programme. It is fully secure to ensure the safety of residents.

Light Therapy Room was opened in 2015 which has become invalueable to residents with challenging behaviour.

Delicious meals

Nutritious meals are served in the dining room or in residents’ room, if unwell. Emphasis is always on a tasty menu of family favourites.

Visits from friends and family

Family and friends are welcome any time – there are no set visiting hours. Residents can entertain in their rooms or use the home’s lounge areas. Any of the lounge or dining areas can be booked for a family occasion. Family members can discuss things with Greenvalley staff as and when they want.
