Testimonials from our Relative Satisfaction Survey February 2024:

"There is a welcoming homely atmosphere at Kenakena. My relative has made new friends and enjoys the activities. After a lifetime of cooking for herself she loves the meals and fresh baking each day!"

"A very well run care home. We like it because it is a family run facility and they love what they do".

"Kena Kena has a family feel about it. The food always looks nice which is so good".

"We are so pleased we found Kena Kena. It very much provides a home and family like environment. Excellent caring staff and management. Thank you".

"I cannot praise Kena Kena enough. My sister has had life long special needs and been in care for most of her life. She has never been happier or better cared for than she is at Kena Kena. There is such a happy, positive, contented, fun atmosphere; lots of outings, entertainment and activities and beautiful meals too. Physically, mentally and psychologically, she is a changed person. A huge thank you to an incredible hard working team. You are very very appreciated". - Mary and Ian.

"Staff are very kind and friendly and take time to chat and make me feel welcome when visiting. Dad is very happy and well looked after. Meals are great and always look well thought out and delicious."

Special Features
Special Features
Kena Kena is a friendly resthome with a very homely atmosphere

It is owned and operated by 2 registered nurses, who have run the rest home for over 27 years and between them have over 100 years nursing experience.
We have a very dedicated team of workers, including great cooks who prepare fresh food daily.
We have a wing of 9 studio units which are all certified Rest Home beds.
These units allow resident's to receive full rest home level of care but give the feeling of maintaining some independence.
They have a full disability en-suite and a small kitchenette and much larger room.
They are a great transition from coming from a larger house.
