Holmwood is ideally located just 5 minutes from the Northern Motorway, making it easy for friends and family to pop by or get you out and about. And being so close to Rangiora town centre, you’ll have a library, shops, cafes, restaurants and everything you need right on your doorstep.
With a warm and welcoming environment, Holmwood is well-known in the community for providing a high level of personalised care. From the staff who greet you in the hallways, to the fresh and inviting living spaces, at Holmwood you’ll quickly feel right at home.
Your room is your own private space, so you can decorate it with your favourite pictures and ornaments. Standard rooms are large enough for a single bed, a chair and a wardrobe or chest of drawers. The cost of a standard room is included in the Care Services Fee set by the DHB. Premium rooms have additional features such as more space, an ensuite bathroom or outdoor access, but you’ll need to pay an extra amount per day to cover the cost of these premium features.
Care Suites provide both Rest Home and Hospital level care, which means you can relax knowing you won’t have the upheaval of moving again if your needs increase. All Care Suites have a heat pump and full en-suite, as well as a kitchenette with a fridge and a kettle – perfect for making a cuppa when friends and family come to visit. You own the right to occupy your Care Suite, so you can personalise it with your favourite furniture and treasured pieces. A DHB assessment is not required for care that is paid for privately.
Hop in our van for a jaunt, you’ll never know where it will take you next. A scenic drive through the countryside, shopping trips or picnics in the park, there’s an exciting new destination each week. Or if it’s music you’re into, enjoy some me-time listening to your own personalised playlist with our award-winning I Love Music programme.
Tender Sunday roasts, hot fish and chips and scrummy homemade puddings…there’s a reason why the dining room is full before dinner! All of the above are regular features on our menu, which is packed with tasty family favourites you’d make at home. You’ll be sure to want second helpings!
Oceania is a leading provider of premium healthcare services in New Zealand. With over 40 locations across the country, we’ve been part of local communities for over 50 years. We’re recognised as industry leaders in care, winning awards for innovation, food, staff training and community engagement.
When it comes to your care, you know what you like and what you don’t like – and we want to know your preferences too. Because everyone is different, all of our residents get a personalised care plan, so from meals to medications; everything that’s important to you is covered.

Testimonials
"My Mum came into your care in November. I have nothing but praise for all the wonderful care you gave us all, To all the staff, a million thankyous. Your kindness will not be forgotten." "I have a colleague whose Mum spent time at Holmwood before she passed away. She often spoke of the little things that the staff at Holmwood did, that not only made a difference to her Mums' time, but also her own peace of mind that her mum was being cared for with genuine respect." "I will finally sign off and say again thank you so very much for making such a positive difference to all our lives, while Dad resided at Holmwood Rest Home. If all of your residents are treated with the same respect, kindness, empathy and understanding that Dad received then they are very lucky indeed." “Our family can not speak highly enough of the care our Mother received from all the staff at Holmwood. She really enjoyed her time there and was always treated with great kindness and respect. We are forever grateful she was able to bring her little dog with her, it helped her settle into her new home. Thank you all , its a very special place.” |
