Raeburn provides rest home, hospital, respite, dementia and palliative care. Rooms look out onto courtyards or landscaped gardens. Rooms also have 24-hour call system and WiFi.

Raeburn is located near Leamington shopping centre and a short drive from Cambridge town centre.

Current services: hairdressing to speech therapy, physiotherapy, podiatry and SKY TV.
Recreational activities include: board games, happy hour, gardening, crafts, and cooking.

Registered Nurse Yes We have 24 hour Registered Nurse coverage. Our team of nurses have experience in aged care.
Healthcare Assistants/Caregivers Yes Our HCAs are highly experienced and work towards achieving NZQA qualifications in residential and dementia aged care. They are skilled to provide the best care for our residents.
Physiotherapist Yes Our physio assistant works under the supervision of our local physiotherapist who is on site weekly for consultation.

Respite Yes We encourage the families of elderly people to take breaks from their caring duties by placing their loved one with us for regular 'holidays' - this service is available by arrangement when we have a vacancy.

Subsidised Yes Carer support can be subsidised by the MoH - the invoice form must be presented at the time of booking to confirm the number of days available. All of our beds have the option of DHB funding available on them (if you are eligible for a care subsidy).
Private Paying Yes We are happy to accept private paying short-stay residents with fees payable on admission.

Special Features
Raeburn Lifecare offers all the benefits of a care facility, including entertainment, activities and companionship. Our staff all receive training on all aspects of care including the importance of preserving dignity and individual needs. Our aim is to create a happy homely atmosphere, to only employ staff who have a positive friendly attitude and adhere to our mission statement. The site provides a paraplegic toilets, spacious showers, and separate dining room and lounge facilities. The facility is fitted with accessibility ramps and safety grab rails, wide corridors, and smoke detectors with water sprinklers.

Focused on creating a peaceful and relaxing environment, every room in Raeburn has a ranch slider and a garden view. The gardens have plenty of roses and outdoor seating to enjoy them, including a BBQ area. The wings between rest home, memory loss and hospital are also kept completely separate.

Interests & Activities
Raeburn has an extensive repertoire of activities and events, aimed at keeping the body and mind stimulated. Our Activity Coordinators and Diversional Therapists focus on designing programmes for each individual at all levels of disability, to promote independence and creative expression.

RSA members are regular visitors, we attend Senior Citizen's functions, church/religious services are held on site. Age Concern and Alzheimer's Society, as well as other organizations, are easily accessed through us and we welcome them to our facility.

Entertainers form a regular part of our programme. A piano, pool table and Sky TV is also available in the main lounges.

Here are just some of the activities and interests of residents which arise on a regular basis:

Indoor games, cooking programme on site, regular happy hour, massage, movies, music, newspaper reading, quizzes, crafts, gardening and board games.

There is also active involvement in community events. Outings are an ongoing part of the activities programme and often include stopping somewhere for coffee.
