Kintala Lodge is the only Resthome in this City, SPECIALISING PURELY in the care of Elderly and Young
(under 65) Patients suffering from ALZHEIMER'S DISEASE, or other DEMENTIA RELATED ILLNESS, OF ANY AGE, that presents with the syndrome of Dementia and its associated symptomatology of confusion, memory loss, agitation and a globally diminishing level of both mental and physical function.
Kintala Lodge also cares for the Under 65's who suffter from Dementia.
Kintala Lodge is set in a quiet, tranquil, peaceful atmosphere, in an inner city, tree lined environment, close to central City and all amenities. The homely Lockwood building has been designed to blend in with the local surrounding residential homes.
Our secure Rest Home environment has its own secure garden and lawn area, including an internal sunny courtyard, where Residents are free to wander, inside or outside, as they wish.
Our caring team at Kintala Lodge is dedicated purely to the welfare of our Dementia Residents, providing 24 hour care, 7 days per week, in this secure, friendly and homely environment.
We offer Long Term, Short Term, Carer Support Respite, Dedicated Respite Bed (so you can pre-book a bed and organise time out for yourself), Emergency Respite, Day Care. Nice sunny rooms.

Respite Yes We have a "EMERGENCY RESIPITE" contract. We offer Carer Support Respite. We usually have a bed available for respite care and you can pre book a bed for the time you would like to use your carer support days.
Carer Support or other Short Stay Yes We offer Carer Support Respite and Short Stay. We offer Day Care. If you are planning a holiday, you can pre-book a bed ahead of your holiday. Phone the Manager for more details.
Advance bookings taken Yes It is preferrable if bookings be made in advance. We need to get information about the Respite Resident so a good care plan can be put in place while they are in our care.
Subsidised service Yes If you have been given Carer Support Days, we are able to offer Carer Support Respite Services.

Under 65 yrs with Disability Yes Kintala Lodge provides the under 65's with care that focuses on the resident to be as independent as possible to have a good quality of life.
Day Care Yes 9am to 3pm, Monday to Friday, Daily charge.

Kintala Lodge Specialises in the care of Elderly and Young (Under 65)Patients suffering from Alzhiemers Disease or other Dementia related Illness, that presents with the syndrome of Dementia and its associated symptomatology of confusion, memory loss, agitation and a globally diminishing level of both mental and physical function. This uniqueness is an important aspect of our service, since these Residents are a very unique group of People, who require specialised understanding, care and attention for both personal and medical management.

Our caring team at Kintala Lodge is dedicated purely to their welfare, providing 24 hour care, 7 days per week, in a secure, friendly and homely environment.

We offer the same care for the Under 65's suffering from Dementia and focus on promoting their independence and quality of life.

Residents are safe to wander in our user friendly secure grounds and building. Our secure Rest Home environment has its own garden and lawn area, including an internal courtyard, where Residents are free to wander, inside and outside, as they wish.

Our home offers long term care, short term care, respite care and day care in a secure and supportive environment.

Our Diversional Therapist is employed for their calm and patient nature. This is an important quality when dealing with Residents who are becoming increasingly slow with regard to both mental and physical abilities, and often require considerable help to perform even minor activities.
The Birthday of each/all Residents are celebrated in accordance with their cultural, ethnic, spiritual and religious beliefs and customs. Family members are always invited and encourage to attend the birthday of their loved one.
