Our Daycare Program is set up to give Caregivers a break, making it easier for them to take care of their family members, but also gives them some time for themselves. This helps them live at home longer and stay in their community. We have lots of different activities that they are able to participate if they wish.

We have Chef who prepares and cooks all the meals, including morning and afternoon tea. This is all included within the day program. The program runs Monday to Friday from 8.30 am until 4.30 pm. There is a pick-up service at a small fee on some days. This can be fully funded by Care Coordination.

Halloween was celebrated at Poneke House today, with white chocolate strawberry that look like goasts, biscuits witches hats and devil sausages. We had a special bingo game that had instead of number different pictures pertaining to Halloween, like spiders, witches, and pumpkins. The pumpkin and broom race was won by Albert who aimed the paper mache pumpkin through the winning post with a well positioned witches broom. Most remembered the music from the Munsteres TV show than ran between 1964 to 1966, the song the Munster Hop and many many more. Staff came dressed in orange and black with many supporting witches hats.
