Description
U3A is a world -wide organisation which began in the 70's and reached Hawkes Bay in 1992. The U3A sets up groups which meet mainly in private homes to study a wide variety of subjects. Some recreational and interest groups which provide social contact are also available. With over 400 members and over 50 interest groups we offer a wide variety of activities. You also have access to other courses run by the Hastings and Taradale U3As

The annual subscription is $10 and this allows members to join as many groups as they wish. The only other cost might be for refreshments and photocopied material in some groups.

General meetings are held 5 times a year at the Havelock North Community centre for members of all groups to get to know each other and enjoy a talk by an invited speaker. Refreshments are provided. Members pay $5 and guests $8
