He Oranga Pai is a primary health care clinic based at the Arowhenua Marae.
There are three Primary Health Care registered nurses, one Tamariki Ora nurse, two Mental Health Registered nurse, one Registered Social Worker and one Mental Health Community Support Worker. A GP visits three hours per week to provide supervision and consultation for the Registered Nurses extended scope of practice. |

| The Doctor
Dr Kirsty Russell visits He Oranga Pai Health Clinic every Wednesday morning between 0900hrs and 1200hrs. Her role is to provide delegated authority protocols for the Registered Nurses who work at the clinic, such as Standing Orders, so the Registered Nurses can prescribe certain medicines in the absence of a doctor. Dr Kirsty Russell also provides training, upskilling, and medical supervision to support extension of the Registered Nurses scope of practice. Dr Kirsty Russell can provide medical services complimentary to and in association with the Registered nurses and provide medical liaison on behalf of the clients. What the Doctor will do; Examine clients who do not have a regular Doctor Provide prescriptions in urgent cases, on a case by case basis What the Doctor will not do; Provide medical certificates and sickness certificates Examine and treat clients who have already got a regular Doctor |
