Age Concern is an organisation that advocates quality of life for older people and promotes active positive ageing.
We offer the following services, Home handyman, transport (48 hours notice required) to doctors, hospitals,shopping etc. Companionship, social lunches, morning teas, home visits, hospital visits and support. Outings, bus trips and other social outings on a regular basis. |

| All Age Concern Branches have knowledge of their local area and can provide advice and information about services that are available for older people. A range of services and health promotion activities are provided locally by all Age Concerns. |

- Support with personel or family issues. - Support with completing forms, WINZ reviews and allowance forms. - Referral infomration. Contact details for provider agencies along with contact details for trusted and fair priced trades people locally. - Total Mobility Scheme assessments for discounted taxi vouchers. - Podiatry appointments monthly. - Coffee mornings with housie. - Social events i.e. lunch, entertainment. - Library to borrow books, videos. - Social outings, i.e. bus trips, shopping trips. - Home visits by Community Field Officer. - Volunteer visitors to isolated and lonely older people through the Accredited Visisting Service. - A wide range of Ezee frozen meals sourced from Mission foods. - Monthly newsletter. - Transport to Doctors, Dentists & Hospital appointments. - Life tubes. - Elder Abuse & Neglect Social Worker based at Age Concern Hastings. |
