Our village manager, Russell Walters, heads a team of talented, skilled and experienced senior management alongside staff committed to delivering exceptional care. Russell comes from a strong background of managing residential care facilities throughout New Zealand.
Residents are encouraged to maintain independence, creativity and individuality at Chatswood, which is expressed through their personalized surroundings and personal choice. We believe that each resident is a unique individual who is part of a family and community. Age is part of the life continuum.
Residents from all parts of the facility enjoy regular outings in the Chatswood Van which you may have seen out and about, especially with the warmer weather becoming more frequent. Make sure to give us a wave and say hello when you see us around!

Special Features
| Our current owners purchased Chatswood in June 2010 and since then have taken Chatswood through major refurbishments and completion of the new Retirement Village livings Studios and Apartments; and a Hospital wing. We also built a new kitchen and lounge in the new facility which is located next to the original Villa. We are known for our warm friendly, homelike environment along with the provision of quality care by great staff. If you intend to ‘purchase’ you must get independent legal advice before signing your occupation right agreement as required under The Act. Some Retirement Village type facilities are not required to register under The Act so different legal requirements apply. Please make sure you investigate fully.
