One Good Deed

David Baldacci

Macmillan

RRP: $34.99

I love David Baldacci novels, who has many great character series like Amos Decker, Will Robie and the Camel Club series, so I was keen to check out this new character.

The plot is a detective who-done-it, set in the US in 1949, before detectives got all that lovely technology we have available now. However one of the “investigators” is a recently released ex-convict. I have to admit it took me a while to get into this book. It didn’t jump straight into the action like most other Baldacci novels, but there are enough twists and turns along the way to keep you going to want to know what happens at the end. It is an enjoyable, easy reading book and nice to go back to a “simpler” time.
