Bonding Nurses?

As in most sectors trained staff can be hard to acquire and even then, hard to hold on to.

A few years back it was apparent that there were very few nurses entering aged care – based on reports we have been hearing lately it has got a little better, but it’s still not that easy to find people with passion for our sector.

What about bonding schemes? Do you think they work.

This recent article in the Nursing Review talks a little about the scheme.

My first thoughts are that it’s a great idea. To be honest, when I first entered the sector I can’t say it really seemed all that ‘sexy’; but after exposure to the industry, those who work in it and those we serve I can’t help but get fired up and inspired about the work we do!
