Overall good, but.....

My Brother was here for two years, and overall it has a very caring, wonderful, and helpful team of people. I can not thank (Names deleted ), for treating and caring for (my brother), like he was part of their family. They made his time here very enjoyable and made us feel like this was also our home. It is a shame that a few negative people can spoil this image. During the final stages of my brothers life while most were supportive there were a few that made it unpleasant for us to be there. In particular
( name deleted),was at times rude in her interactions, unsympathetic and lacked empathy. I was told by her that I needed to have all of his belonging out of his room within 24hrs, a feat that was impossible for me to achieve as I do not live in the same city let alone the same island. But thanks again go to (names deleted) for helping and finding a suitable solution.

I would sincerely like to convey my appreciation to the staff at St Winifred's Hospital who looked after my mother Margaret Gudsell. She resided there for over 2 years and died there on the 22nd May.

I would especially like to mention Jacqui Colville, Jan Bristowe, Kathy Toumazou & Linda Fourie, for their truly professional expertise, for always listening and taking such good care of my mother. I visited my mother nearly every day, and they always made me feel very welcome.

They are a special team of people at St Winifred's I'll never forget how hard they worked after the February earthquake, especially Linda, making sure all the patients were safe and warm (when the hospital had no power).

I think there is a quote somewhere - 'Patient's First', your staff do this consistantly.

Your staff really are a tremendous asset to your organisation.
