Visitors as usual (but not if you're unwell or recently returned from overseas)
At Southanjer, we strive to provide the most home-like environment for all of our wonderful residents. We treat our residents as the individuals that they are, and ensure to always treat them with respect and dignity. We are situated only 5 minutes from beautiful Oamaru and yet we are in a lovely rural setting which we celebrate with having several farm animals and expansive vegetable gardens in which our residents can help to manage. We are the only facility in Oamaru that offers only dementia level care and our team are passionate and extremely proficient in the care that they provide.
We are the proud winners of the 2020 NZ Aged Care Association's 'Small Operator Industry Award' which is an award that recognises the 'outstanding work of smaller operators in the NZ Aged Residential Care industry in caring for, supporting and enriching the lives of residents, their families and staff'.
We have been granted 4-year Certification in our most recent Ministry of Health Audit in February 2022 which reflects the excellent level of care provided to our residents.
