BOUTIQUE HOSPITAL LEVEL CARE IS ON THE RISE

They say that “good things come in small packages” and this is true at Remuera Rise Care Centre. With only 12 beds, we are boutique.

You, or your loved ones, will receive 24/7 hospital level care that’s personalised to your individual needs. You can start your day, eat, bathe, and retire when you want. You don’t need to fit into our routines - we fit into yours!

We can do this because we have one of the highest staff-to-resident ratios in New Zealand. A Registered Nurse is on duty 24 hours a day and all staff are personally committed to delivering professional, emotional and social support to every resident.

What everyone loves is the size of the rooms, the modern fittings and having access to an ensuite. Each room is tastefully decorated and we encourage you to bring your own furnishings and favourite things to create that ‘home away from home’ feeling.

A sunny, modern lounge provides a central hub for socialising with other residents and taking part in activities such as exercise classes, films, games, arts and crafts, newspaper reading and even Happy Hour. The nearby Domain Wintergardens, cafes, shops and art galleries provide plenty of scope for interesting outings with family and friends.

One of the highlights of life at Remuera Rise are mealtimes. Our excellent chefs use the freshest ingredients and provide a menu that is constantly changing. Whether enjoyed privately or with new friends, meals are an event with each nutritious dish prepared lovingly and to taste. Enjoy favourites such as bacon-wrapped chicken breasts in a creamy garlic sauce with roasted potatoes and fresh beans, followed by cinnamon apple pie served with vanilla bean ice-cream.

And of course you can always go out and sample the cuisine that Newmarket has to offer!

You don’t have to own an apartment at Remuera Rise to stay at the Care Centre and you can come for a short or long term stay. Family or friends can visit at any time using your secure, personalised PIN access.

We know that moving to residential care can be stressful for new residents and their families. It’s our job to support everyone during this time so that the transition is as smooth as possible. We believe Remuera Rise is setting a new standard in aged residential, respite and hospital-level care and we’d love to see you.

Whether you’re planning a break away and need respite care for your parent or partner or you are looking for more permanent care, we can arrange accommodation within 24 hours if required, depending on our bed availability. Government subsidies may be available if criteria is met - and we can talk you through this.

Selwyn lives in an apartment at Remuera Rise and his wife, Judy, is in the Care Facility. He describes the facility as being "like a little boutique hotel with hospital level care" and he just loves taking his wife out on walks around the grounds.
