A change of address, not of lifestyle, is how we like to describe a person’s move into a Presbyterian Support Otago independent-living retirement unit.
Like all our facilities, Iona has a Presbyterian foundation and welcomes people of all backgrounds and cultures.
Iona's 12 independent living units are alongside the rest home and hospital in the northern part of Oamaru.
It offers a wide range of services to indepenent-living residents who can engage as much or as little support as they need.
The staff does all it can to help residents and families experience a good transition to living at Iona, and welcomes family input into creating the right ‘personal feel’ for their loved one.
If you feel it's a little soon to move to Iona, we do have independent living units at Columba Court, 46 Hull St, South Hill. These are one bedroom units for which you purchase Occupation Right Agreements. See www.psotago.org.nz/purchase for more information
