|Tui Glen Homestead is a family focused home. Our rooms are comfortable and light filled, the home has lovely views over rural country and the Haven. We offer a room for Supported Living, this is for someone that hasn't been assessed rest home care but needs support, please inquire if you wish to know more about this service. You are most welcome to phone our Manager to arrange a tour of the facility, weekend visits can be arranged with the Manager by appointment, or you can just 'drop in', The best time to do this is after 1030 am. We also provide Rest Home residential care for people under the age of 65 and respite care.|

|Tui Glen Rest Home has a policy of continually striving to increase the scope and opportunity for Residents to have greater involvement with the community both within the home and outside.
Home located on elevated site with full ramp access,all day sun, nice gardens and excellent outdoor areas for Residents.
A eight bed home with an emphasis on providing a caring family environment similar to what Residents would have been used to before leaving their own home.

Regular in house visits from Age Concern, Senior Citizens by arrangement (also Probus, Stroke Group, Service men and women and other support groups),optional visits to local art gallery and shops.
Church services Sunday (Anglican Minister and/or other denominations available for Communion).
Craft available in house with Activities Co ordinator and through various other contacts.
Exercise sessions at least twice weekly, our Activities Co-ordinator lives on site so outings as well as activities aren't just kept to a morning routine but are spread out over a weekly cycle with some outings during weekends.
Email and internet available and Sky tv.
Entertainment provided by Church groups, visitors and "Friends of the Home", (friends of the management).
Resident's Birthdays and other special days honoured with family, friends and staff gatherings
Selection of indoor games available (visitors, family and children are encouraged to play), sundry big print library books available on a regular cycle, Kent log fire in residents lounge.
Personnal shopping available on request, active participation in activities of daily living is encouraged (eg hanging out washing, clearing tables, mending etc).
TV in Resident's lounge, (jack-points also in all Resident's rooms) films/CDs provided on a regular basis,wireless internet, optional outings scheduled on a regular basis, optional coffee morning outings, visits (to old friends in homes, rest homes and Hospitals) optional outings with managers family and with other staff members.
Every opportunity is taken to provide Residents with new and stimulating activites.
Dementia beds are also negotiable.

|Staffing Details||Margaret Helleur is employed as the Registered Nurse. Hilary is supported by 4 part-time qualified staff and the Activities coordinator. There is Resident focused care delivery by staff and a positive staff/management/resident relationship that exists. Our Registered Nurse is on the floor every Wednesday, their service to us is contracted as on call 24/7. Staff training/Qualifications - Diploma & Certificate in Support of the Older Person, Diploma Social Work.|
