Enliven's Kilmarnock Heights Home is warm and welcoming from the moment you walk through the door. Situated on park-like grounds in Berhampore, Kilmarnock Heights Home has stunning rural views and a vibrant, friendly and homely atmosphere.

At Kilmarnock Heights Home residents and respite visitors are supported to continue doing the things they love, in a way that's right for them.

Residents enjoy the vibrant, warm and welcoming community where there is always something happening.

Kilmarnock Heights Home, like all Enliven Central homes, embraces the Eden Alternative - an elder directed model of care.

Here, we take every opportunity to make sure the elders of Kilmarnock Heights have companionship, variety and spontaneity, fun, meaningful activity and purpose in their lives. We make sure residents have choice and control - here, elders are involved in decisions that relate to both their personal wellbeing and what happens at their home. Plus we support residents are supported to maintain their independence and routines, and to continue with hobbies, interests and passions, in a way that’s right for the individual.

Enliven’s Kilmarnock Heights Home offers rest home level care services, including short term respite for people living in their own homes or with family.

As an Enliven home we’re proud to be more than just ‘family friendly’. At Kilmarnock Heights Home, your family is part of our family. After all, family, friends and the community play a big part in life here.

You’ll find there are no set visiting times; you can invite your grandchildren, family and friends to visit at any time. Plus we have a great toy box and games to keep the little ones entertained!

You may like to invite family or friends to join in the special events and social outings organised by Kilmarnock Heights Home residents and staff. And of course, family and friends are always welcome to join you for a meal.

A highlight for many residents is the social life and companionship at Kilarmock Heights Home.

As well as enjoying the company of others at a similar stage of life, Kilmarnock Heights Home residents get involved in organising daily happenings and special events – making the most of the varied social calendar.

We have a wide range of interest groups. Regular activities and events include sight-seeing trips, guest entertainers, craft, themed parties and gardening.

Interest groups and activity programmes are designed and adjusted depending on resident's current interests. This may include the following:

Details re Meals Each day we provide our residents their breakfast, lunch, dinner, dessert and snacks. We’ll make sure you always have plenty of delicious food to enjoy. Our menus are co-designed by a dietician and chef to ensure there is plenty of diversity and that your meals are nutritious and satisfying, made right on-site. We encourage you to enjoy your meals in the dining room with your friends. Morning and afternoon tea is served around the home and snacks and fruit are always available in the dining room or kitchenettes.
Staffing Details We support our staff with ongoing training to ensure that we continue to provide a high standard of care. We also ensure that the staff are familiar with the latest care standards and methods.
Associated Complexes Enliven runs a number of homes throughout the lower North Island. In Wellington we have: Huntleigh Home in Karori, Cashmere Home and Cashmere Heights Home in Johnsonville, Longview Home in Tawa, and Woburn Home in Lower Hutt.
