Welcome to Ultimate Care Kensington Court. Kensington Court is a well-established, New Zealand owned and operated boutique retirement facility offering hospital level care, rest home level care and independent living. The Kensington team has cared for the residents of the Nelson community for over 20 years, providing high quality services. Kensington Court is well known for its exceptional staff, quality of nursing care, nutritious home cooking and excellent facilities contained in a homelike environment. We have an extensive activities programme tailored to meet residents’ interests and needs. Our staff are loyal and committed to the care of the residents. We welcome feedback to help us to continue to improve our services to the elders of our community.

We are in the process of building a total of eight new personal care suites to purchase under an ORA

NOTE: The Retirement Villages Act 2003 (The Act) is designed to provide improved protection for people who ‘buy’ into a retirement village. If you intend to ‘purchase’ you must get independent legal advice before signing your occupation right agreement as required under The Act. Some Retirement Village type facilities are not required to register under The Act so different legal requirements apply. Please make sure you investigate fully.


In some villages there may be some Retirement Village units that have multiple uses e.g. a Serviced Apartment may also be used as a Residential Care Suite. The same unit may therefore show in several places on Eldernet. The DHB Shared Services website provides additional information about this service.
