Presbyterian Support Upper South Island is a Christian agency working towards a just society. In Nelson and Marlborough, our Enliven Positive Ageing services help older people to live at home with dignity and purpose. We affirm older peoples right to self-determination and provide services which value the uniqueness of each individual.

Some things make for a healthier, happy life no matter what your age

· Social networks - relationships with family and friends
· Active participation in, and contribution to, the community
· Appropriate support that takes into account the whole person, not just your health needs.

Enliven Positive Ageing Services include

Home Support - flexible support and assistance tailored to your needs

Totara Marlborough - good company and an activity programme from 10am to 3pm. Transport available

HomeShare. The service enables isolated older people who cannot access existing day-care facilities to meet in small groups in private homes in their community. Those with special needs related to memory loss may also benefit from a small group setting.

Volunteer Programme - Provides people who can visit older people in their homes and provide transport, outings and companionship

Day Programme (Dementia Care) Yes Yes No HomeShare caters to dementia clients The dementia day care provides a carer relief service 5 days a week. It is run by the Alzheimer's Society using Presbyterian Support premises.

Subsidies are available for household help and personal cares through contracts with ACC and Health Funding Authority. We can also access Disabilty Support subsidy from Work and Income, especially for our day prograqmme. (If you are eligible.)
