Enliven is part of Presbyterian Support and in Otago we offer a range of services built around the philosophy that with the right support, ageing can be a positive experience.

Positive ageing is about maintaining relationships with family and friends and feeling a sense of contribution and satisfaction in what you do.

We believe that feeling supported and secure, and being as active and involved as possible, are very important if you wish to remain living in your own home.

Enliven offers:
Enliven HomeShare - Hosts in Alexandra offer day respite for older people with memory loss. The day is spent in conversation, activity or sharing quiet times. A nourishing hot meal is made and shared with the host, as is morning and afternoon tea. To find out more, contact the manager of Ranui Home & Hospital, Alexandra 448 8280

Club Enliven - a day activity group for older people in Dunedin. Held three times a week, clubrooms are in North East Valley, with activities occasionally held outside at community events. A hot midday meal is provided. Ph 473 0890

Enliven can organise short-term respite care.

Health and Disability Support Groups and Contacts Yes Enliven HomeShare operates in Alexandra and is a service where frail elderly with memory loss are guests in a HomeShare Host's home for the day.
Community Organisations Yes Club Enliven Dunedin and Club Eniven Alexandra, Central Otago, are activity groups for older people who would benefit from more social contact in their lives, sometimes providing respite for their main carers.
Fitness and Recreation Yes Dunedin: Club Enliven meets 3 times weekly for activities, entertainment, gentle physical exercise and mental stimulation. Alexandra: Club Enliven meets weekly in the Duggan Lounge at Ranui Home, providing a varied and stimulating ptogramme
