Description
Enliven is part of Presbyterian Support and in Otago we offer a range of services built around the philosophy that with the right support, ageing can be a positive experience.

Positive ageing is about maintaining relationships with family and friends and feeling a sense of contribution and satisfaction in what you do.

We believe that feeling supported and secure, and being as active and involved as possible, are very important if you wish to remain living in your own home.

Enliven offers:
Enliven HomeShare - Volunteers in Alexandra and Cromwell offer day respite for olde people with memory loss. The day is spent in conversation, activity or sharing quiet times. A nourishing hot meal is made and shared with the volunteer, as is morning and afternoon tea. To find out more, contact the manager of Ranui Home & Hospital, Alexandra 448 8280

Enliven Maybank - a day activity group for older people in Dunedin. Clubrooms are in North East Valley and activities are often held outide at community events. A hot midday meal is provided. Ph 473 0890

Club Enliven - a day activity programme in Alexandra where members gather for a wide range of activities. A hot midday meal is provided. Contact Ranui Manager on Alexandra 448 8280

Enliven Visiting Volunteer Service, Dunedin. These wonderful volunteers call on older people in their own homes to ensure social contact is maintained.Ph Dunedin 477 7115

Enliven Family/Whanu Carers provides educational programmes to those who look after family at home. Group sessions are held throughout Otago.Ph Dunedin 477 7115,

Enliven Individualised Funding where you manage the resources you have been allocated for home and disability support.Dunedin 477 7115.

Enliven can organise short-term respite care.

Home Support Services in Otago are no longer provided by Enliven Otago. Contact the Southern DHB Assessors for information on that service.

Health and Disability Support Groups and Contacts Yes Enliven HomeShare operates in Alexandra and Cromwell and is a service where frail elderly with memory loss are guests in a HomeShare Host's home for the day.
Community Organisations Yes Maybank Activity Group in Dunedin and Club Eniven in Alexandra, Central Otago, are activity groups for older people who would benefit from more social contact in their lives.
Fitness and Recreation Yes Dunedin: Maybank, an activity group for older people, meets weekly at Ross Home. Alexandra: Club Enliven meets weekly in the Duggan Lounge at Ranui Home

Day Programme (Dementia Care) Yes Yes No HomeShare is offered in Alexandra and Cromwell. Frail older people with memory loss are invited into a Host's home for companionship and a hot meal.
Day Programme (Non Dementia) Yes Yes No In Dunedin we have the Maybank day activity programme several days a week, based in North East Valley. Lunch is provided. In Alexandra, Central Otago, we have Club Enliven that meets once a week for companionship and activities.
