Due to the loss of beds at a number of Aged Residential Care facilities in the Canterbury Earthquake in February 2011 the District Health Board (CDHB) has been operating a Single Point of Entry Service (SPOE). In some instances you may be able to negotiate directly with a provider for entry into a facility, however, you may also be directed back to the CDHB SPOE service.
