Duart is able to look after 46 residents needing hospital level care.

Many of Duart's staff have worked in aged care for 20 years, so there is a core group of very experienced staff at this aged care facility.

If a resident wishes, the staff at Duart are able to help organise or provide contact with these organisations:

- Age Concern
- Alzheimer's Society
- Arthritis Society
- Blind Foundation
- Parkinson's Society
- The RSA.

Located in Havelock North; Duart is part of the Oceania Group, a New Zealand Aged Care Association member.

Special Features
At Duart we have the most fabulous views of the Havelock, Napier and Hastings areas. Having a slightly elevated position the views stretch right back to the ranges and provide a restful but ever changing outlook.

Interests & Activities

At Duart we have an extensive activity programme run by two diversional therapists.

We also have outings twice a week to varied local places.

A mobile library service visits residents once a week and we have a selection of big print books available too.

We can assist or provide contact with services such as Age Concern, Alzheimer's Society, Arthritis society, Blind Foundation, Parkinson's Society, and the RSA.

Details re Meals Tasty, varied and nourishing meals are a feature of life at Duart. We have a summer and a winter menu which are rotated on a regular basis. Our main meal is served at midday with a lighter meal served in the evening.
