Special Features
This a rural community home situated in Winton township within 25 minutes north of Invercargill. Residents enjoy pleasant rose gardens with a rural outlook.

This purpose built facility is comprised of two wings of resident rooms within short walking distance of the central communal areas. Toilets are conveniently located at the beginning of each wing and half way down the corridors.

Our smaller numbers allow us to maintain a friendly, homely environment where residents will receive quality assured, professional care.

Interests & Activities

Our activities co-ordinator organises a range of activities to meet the differing capabilities of our residents, with everyone being encouraged to participate.

The participation of residents in the Activities Programme is voluntary, however is of great importance in promoting their socialisation, mental and physical stimulation and encouraging a general sense of vitality.

Communication is encouraged through the increased stimulation of outside activities and a supportive atmosphere is developed increasing residents confidence and independence. Visitors are encouraged to assist with these activities where they feel comfortable doing so.

Some of our interests/interest groups and activities include:

Details re Meals Breakfast is served either in the resident's bedroom or dining room as desired. The main meal of the day is served at midday. This is followed by dessert. Food and refreshments are available outside of meal and morning, afternoon tea and supper times by request. A wide variety of home cooked meals and delicious home baking is enjoyed by residents, (and family by arrangement), with special dietary needs being catered for. The menu is adjusted on a seasonal basis taking advantage of in-season fruit and vegetables. We welcome residents' ideas in relation to meal content.
