Hairdresser 12hrs Yes Hairdresser full day Thursday and half day Friday. Have a hairdressing salon that they work from. Is dependant on number of clients using service. This is privately funded

Oxygen Management Yes oxygen is held on site.
Surgical Followup No organised as required
Wound Care Yes RN and some Caregivers are required to complete a competency in wound care. If a specialist in this field is required then it would be arranged via district nurses or Sue Rossiter at the local DHB.
Diabetic Care Yes RN provide diabetic care and any appts at the local hospital will be facilitated. If diabetes specialist is required then this would be arranged.
Continence Advisor Yes Work closely with our incontinence provider to ensure up to date information is regularly fed back to staff. We have a staff member trained to assess incontinence and correct produce use.
Infection Control Yes Work closely with Alison Carter from Medlab. Also have an infection Control co-ordinator.
Stomal Therapist Yes If required will organise support from District Health Board
Specialist Palliative Care Yes We have implemented the liverpool care pathway and work very closely with hospice.
Palliative Care Yes Our caregivers and nurse work very closely with Palliative care nurses at the hospice.
Psychiatric Care Yes We have a good working relationship with Older persons Mental Health.
Stroke Rehabilitation Yes Work closely with Stroke foundation.
Gerontological Care Yes Work closely with A T & R ward at the hospital and the geriatricians. Organise reassessment of individuals as required.

Clinical Manager Yes Our clinical Manager is Iris Francisco. Iris has been with us for two years. She has experience as a registered nurse in the facility and has recently moved to her new role. She has experience in Accident and emergency and other speciality areas.
Other Nursing Specialities Yes Our facility Manager is also a registered nurse. Her background is mainly in General Practice but also has experience in a continuing care ward. Her name is Vanessa Kingsbury. We also have a enrolled nurse, Maxine Poole who is our rest home co-ordinator.

Pets In Residence Yes We have two birds. A baraband parrot called Kenny and a cockitiel called Courtney. Courtney is very chatty.

Phone Access In Own Room Yes All rooms have phone jacks in them. Resident must pay for livening up the line and for use of line.

Residents Committee Yes Currently we do not have a residents committee but should a need be identified and resident request it we would support this to happen.WE do have regular resdients meetings.

Special Features
We have a lovely quiet lounge which can be used by residents and family. We have a library with lots of books and puzzles. Our hospital has a small kitchenette which is accessible to families for making a beverage. We pride ourselves on being a home away from home.
