Information 4 Disability
| Provides information about groups and organisations relating to disability. Maintains a comprehensive and up to date listing of such organisations. Also has information about equipment and services that are available in Hawkes Bay and throughout New Zealand, for people with a disability, their families and carers. This is a free service. We also have access to the Funding Information Service database. (FIS) and public computer access to the WEKA (What Everyone Keeps Asking- about disability) website. |

| We provide relevant and up to date information on any aspect of disability, so that people who are affected by disability in any way, may receive the most appropriate support they need to live a fulfilled life within their community. - e.g. Disability Welfare, Government Services, Community Support services, Equipment and Appliances, Accessible Services and Buildings. |

| Information is available and accessible in whatever form is most convenient: phone, face to face visits, written, email.
We are a member of the NZ Federation of Disability Information Centres, of which there are 22 throughout NZ. We have developed a network of Community Workers who meet bi monthly to exchange information; We provide a bi monthly newsletter, "Snippets" in which activities and equipment are publicised. |
