Retirement Housing ('Purchase')
Trevellyn
|
In surveys, residents have said the 6 things they like best about Trevellyn Lifestyle Care & Village are:
- Its caring staff - Pleasant ambience - Welcoming feeling - Happy residents - General hygiene and that: - " It feels like home" It is a retirement village which offers seniors a full range of living and care options: from independent living, to rest home and respite care, to hospital care. It is also a village where word-of-mouth often plays a big part in peoples' decisions to live there. In many cases, prospective residents and their families often know someone who lives or has lived here. For residents living independently, if they wish, they are able to access home help provided by outside agencies. And, for an additional fee, they can also have the convenience of house keeping services or meals provided. For convenience there is an on-site shop where small items like postage stamps and envelopes can be bought at cost price. Trevellyn rest home has a full activities programme, organised by a diversional therapist with 18 years experience. Activities include trips in the facility van, bingo, scrabble, baking, indoor games, entertainment and the pamper club. The continuum of care offered by Trevellyn is seen as an asset by family members of residents. Because care up to hospital level care is offered, it reduces the need to move a loved one elsewhere if their care needs increase. Trevellyn's location, close to the city, also means it is also easy to visit a loved one or family member there. There is a registered nurse on duty 24 hours a day. For inquiries please talk to Raewyn Porteous, Facility Manager, on (07) 838 3276. Trevellyn is part of the Oceania Group. NOTE: The Retirement Villages Act 2003 (hereafter referred to as The Act) is designed to provide improved protection for people who buy into a retirement village. If you intend to purchase you must get independent legal advice before signing your occupation right agreement as required under The Act. Further information about Retirement Villages is available in the section 'Frequent Questions'. Some Retirement Villages are not required to register under The Act so different legal requirements apply. Please do your homework.
In some villages there may be some units that have multiple uses e.g. a Serviced Apartment may also be used as a Residential Care Suite. The same unit may therefore show in several places on Eldernet.
