| Until her death on 25 March 2011 at the age of 98, my mother Phyllis Jans was a resident at Princess Alexandra Retirement Village in Napier, the first 3 years in a serviced apartment then for the past 3 years in the resthome.

| Princess Alexandra Retirement Village recently won the Retirement Village section of the Napier City Garden competition for the second year in a row. The gardens at Princess Alexandra have been looking immaculate and it is all thanks to our wonderful and talented gardeners Graeme Kendrick and Jennie Bloomfield. |
