Set in park-like grounds, the complex is central to shopping malls, State Highway 1, bus stops and only 35 minutes to either Palmerston North or Wanganui.

Rental units are independent to the home, however they do have the sense of assurance with the call bell system connected to the home for emergencies.

What rental covers Rental of one bedroom unit semi-furnished with whiteware and net curtains. Call bell system and smoke detectors installed in units that are connected to the main resthome.
Eligibility Criteria Edale's main criteria for eligibility is your level of independence.
Garden Maintenance Gardens are maintained by the Gardener employed by the Rest Home.

Hairdresser Yes Our on-site hairdressing salon is available by appointment with visiting hairdresser.

Nursing Care Negotiable One call out per month is included in rental. Additional to this Registered Nurse assistance is at $50.00 minimum charge with $50.00 per hour or part thereof plus costs of consumables.

Special Features
Edale is a community project and non-profit organisation. The Trust Board consists of voluntary representatives from various community organisations. The Home operates on the extended family principle.

Edale has 20 sheltered flats that offer:

Activities available to Rest Home residents
Hot mid-day Meals or Tea Meals in the Rest Home at an additional cost

Interests & Activities

All tenants have access to entertainment and activities that are available to Rest Home Residents.

Edale's Activities officer develops and co-ordinates a programme with activities 5 days per week.

Activities include:
Bowls, Newspaper reading, Exercises, Entertainment, Games, Big print books, Board games, Jigsaw, Interdenominational Church services, Email, Housie, Minigolf, Videos, Walking group with Sport Rangitikei, Rest Home Games, Crafts.
