Set in park-like grounds, the complex is central to shopping malls, State Highway 1, bus stops and only 35 minutes to either Palmerston North or Wanganui.

| Edale is a community project and non-profit organisation. The Trust Board consists of voluntary representatives from various community organisations. The Home operates on the extended family principle.
