| Our goal is to provide a quality environment in which each older person in our care feels secure, retains their independence and is supported by staff committed to their well being.
Some of the features of the purpose-designed building are the wider doors, larger bedrooms with fittings for television and telephones, spacious wardrobes and sound proofing. There is plenty of living space as we have 4 lounges and numerous sitting alcoves, all of which have a different outlook and different furnishings. This means residents can have a changing outlook each day, which adds interest and variety. Our gardens are flourishing with plenty of outdoor seating allowing sunny spots to sit. A petanque court has been completed and this is enjoyed over the summer months. The sheltered courtyard in the centre of Acorn House has an all-weather bowling surface with plenty of seating for players and spectators alike. |

The activities programme is busy and interesting with 3 staff studying for qualifications in Diversional Therapy co-ordinating separate programmes; one for our hospital residents and the other 2 for our rest home, studio, apartment and villa residents.
