Located in Cambridge, Raeburn offers quality of care at least every bit as good as – and quite probably better than – that which you will find in any large urban centre. A big claim, yes - but here’s why we feel comfortable making you this promise: 1. Raeburn’s Manager, Jan Hansen, is a registered nurse with 14 years’ aged residential care management experience. She also has countless further years care experience; including having worked for a DHB, in community health and in acute nursing. 2. Jan is supported by a clinical leader and a core group of eight highly experienced registered nurses, including one who also has experience managing a rest home. 3.What’s more, Raeburn’s care assistants receive significant training through courses covering CPR, First Aid, Health & Safety, Clinical Topics and Dementia and Palliative Care. 4. Good food is an important part of anyone’s quality of life and the people who live here enjoy daily meals cooked by a trained chef (he works in a restaurant and does wedding catering when not at Raeburn). You may also find it helpful to know that: - We offer a varied activities programme - Access to physiotherapists, podiatrists, hairdresser and clinical nurse specialists is available. - All of our beds have the option of DHB funding available on them (if you are eligible for a care subsidy) - We received a good score on our last MoH Audit and have a three year accreditation.
