Rest Home Care
Parkwood Rest Home and Hospital, Christchurch - Rest Home
|
On the east side of town, near the Eastgate Mall, Parkwood is a happy place, despite having been shaken during the past two years. We are green zoned, fully operational and thriving, with positive plans for the future.
Parkwood offers rest home, hospital and palliative care. We pride ourselves on the strong community spirit of this home, and welcome friends and family at any time. The great reputation of the food our chef prepares means that friends and family often join their special people here for a meal (for a small charge). We have a reputation for providing skilled nursing care in a way that is friendly and respects the wishes of each resident. This reflects a combination of our training, and the effort we make to really get to know each resident, through something we call the Map of Life. Through this, we understand what has been important in each person’s life, as well as their particular likes, dislikes, and preferences. Once we have this understanding, giving care in the right way becomes second nature. We would be delighted to have the opportunity to talk with you about our care. Please phone Juliane Brand, our care home manager, or feel free to drop in at any time. |
