| "For our mum and the rest of the family, the move to Milton Court was the best move for mum at this time of her life."....Jim R
"The care received from all staff is of a high standard and there are many activities available and our Mum is able to choose something to do most days of the week."..Anthea D "The family have always been made welcome at any time of the day and appreciate being able to visit mum whenever we are able. The staff are always approachable and willing to discuss any concerns we have."...Miriam M "The most outstanding feeling that I get from the staff is that they genuinely like my mother and seem unfuffled by some of her demands that could be difficult.... Keeping me informed about what is going on in her life is important and this keeps me up to date.... Without hesitation, I can fully commend the staff at Milton Court and I appreciate it immensely".. | Orewa is located in the Hibiscus Coast area. The climate is generally mild and sunny. Milton Court is in a quiet residential street at the southern end of Orewa. It provides a flat walk to the beach, local shops and cafes.
Our home has 36 beds which allows us to have a comfortable, family feel. Residents generally get to know each other and interreact on a social level if they wish. We are committed to provide high standard of care to our residents. As far as possible, we endeavour to plan the best care to accommodate our residents. This includes things like "sleeping in", "staying up late", "having your shower at the time of day that suits you etc. Touch and talking are very important aspects of our care. We celebrate all of life's events with our residents eg. birthday, Easter, Christmas etc. All our 25 staff understand the need to provide our residents with high level of care. Staff are encouraged and trained to help residents retain or regain skills. This helps residents retain their dignity. It is a goal of the service to rehabilitate residents wherever possible. We have a great team and we can be flexible in our routine. You are most welcome to discuss your individual need with our staff. We make this a family friendly home so visitors and families can come freely at anytime. |
