Living at Merrivale Rest Home is about continuing a healthy, active life with people who really care about your comfort and well-being. It's a happy place with a great atmosphere.
Our beautiful grounds have attractive, well-established trees for shade, delightful walkways and areas for residents to exercise and have picnics. We are close to Kamo Village shops and a van ride away from central Whangarei. Merrivale residents enjoy regular interaction and strong support from the local community and from our clients who join us for day care activities. Merrivale is part of the Bupa group of rest homes, hospitals, retirement villages and personal medical alarms. We are a private company, and because we have no shareholders, we can invest what we earn to make improvements that help us provide better care. As part of the global Bupa group, we are able to provide superior clinical support, while focusing on helping each of our residents get the most out of each day. The environment at Merrivale is warm and friendly, and we respect the rights and individuality of each and every resident. Since May 2004 Merrivale has provided a community day-care service, where people are brought in from their own homes and provided with a stimulating and meaningful programme of activities.
