Special Features
Lady Ascot Rest Home is located in a beautiful large 1900’s bungalow that has been refurbished into a 15 bed facility. It retains all the grace and serenity of a stately family home. High ceilings give the home a sense of spaciousness and the soft drapery, furnishings and open fireplace create a homely cosiness. Our small size helps us to retain that special homely feel.

The home looks and smells fresh and clean. An attractive small garden compliments the home.

The Home is owned by the Love Earth Aotearoa Foundation, a NZ registered Charity.

Interests & Activities

We provide T.L.Q.C. (tender, loving, quality care) in a homely atmosphere with delicious home cooked meals.

There is an interesting program of activities for those who choose to join in.
Mondays are activities with staff members.
Tuesday mornings we have visits to Commincare.
On Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons, Shirley, our motivational therapist, delights with her interesting activity sessions.
Every Friday mornings Frank Vilich entertains with piano accordion and sing -a- longs and during school terms Auckland Grammar senior students visit on Wednesday afternoons and are always very popular.
Every week on Thursday mornings the Age Concern minibus takes residents out on sight-seeing excursions.
The hairdresser, Maureen visits every Wednesday morning for sets, blow-waves, cuts, perms etc.
Our podiatrist visits every six weeks.

We have a well-stocked library including large print books and magazines We also have a good selection of music tapes, audio CD’s, DVDs and videos. Painting, knitting, craftwork, quizzes, dancing and exercises to music, ball games, playing cards, puzzles and board games are among our indoor activities. Petanque is played on fine days on the back lawn.

Birthdays are always party time and our Xmas party for residents, families and friends are always a joyous occasion.
