Special Features
Kingswood Rest Home is a single storey residence.

It is important for people with dementia to be able to wander around the gardens and we encourage residents to tend a small vegetable garden.

Residents often help to rake the leaves and love to relax under one of the shade trees in our garden. We often have a BBQ and allow family and friends to join us in the garden for an afternoon or early summer evening tea.

Kingswood Rest Home, (formely Malio House) was the first Dementia facility worldwide to implement the "Spark of Life" philosophy formulated by Jane Verity, the reknown specialist in Dementia Care. The Spark of Life philosophy is a culture enrichment philosophy designed to re-introduce the "Spark of Life " in people with dementia.
