We offer our Residents an exceptionally high standard of care, professional, and loving, in a HOMELY, INCLUSIVE environment. Our caring, WARM STAFF take individual needs and personal history into account, as well as medical conditions, and preferences. A HAPPY HOME. We want our Residents to feel at home, and have taken great care over the refurbishments, creating a comfortable, quiet, airy, environment, with sunny, sheltered outdoor areas, and pretty light filled bed rooms and communal rooms. GLENHAVEN is ideally situated back from the road, away from the noise, but within easy walking distance from Glenfield shopping mall, and community services. Your LOVED ones will feel SAFE and SECURE at GLENHAVEN, an you’ll have the security of knowing we have caregivers on duty 24 hours a day, regular, organised, visits from our GP, who is on-call at all times, and a Registered Nurse on site daily. GLENHAVEN REST HOME is proud to provide professional CARE for Older people who can no longer live independently, but who want to enjoy life with as much FREEDOM and FUN as possible. “I wanted to come and live at here at Glenhaven Rest Home. I feel I HAVE A NEW LEASE OF LIFE since coming to live here. I had always wanted to ride on a motorcycle so a trip was arranged on a motorbike to Devonport. Antony and Bronwyn Taylor have three children and 2 dogs. They are committed to extending a family like environment to the home and are dedicated to providing a service based on old fashioned values. Antony is qualified as a Doctor with 20 years experience. Bronwyn works within the building industry and has lovingly overseen the renovations. Our Residents receive HOME COOKED meals, planned with CARE and LOVE We also encourage all our RESIDENTS to maintain their links with FAMILY and Community, and provide free tea and coffee making facilities for visitors. | Dr Antony Taylor and his wife Brony are the owners, they are often at the house doing maintenance or chatting to residents. Take comfort in the knowledge that a doctor is always keeping a watchful eye out for your well being. Keeping in constant contact with the staff to make sure the best is being done for you to maintain mobility and independence. Dr Taylor completed his training in Dunedin and has more than 20 years experience, including working in A&E and General Practice.
We offer regular outings for you to visit local parks, gardens, beaches, museums,RSA,out for a coffee and cake at a popular cafe. Residents are encouraged wherever possible to maintain regular contact with community activities. Visitors and family are always welcome at Glenhaven, this is your home and visitors can sit and chat, play the piano,enjoy a cup of tea, or walk across the road to the Westfield Shopping Centre for cake and coffee and a browse. If kids are coming over a jar of their favourite sweets hidden in Grandmas or Granddads room is always a favourite, and toys can be found in the lounges.
