Registered Nurse Yes The clinical manager, who is an experienced registered nurse has an oversight over all the clinical aspects in the facility. Registered nurses work 24/7 who provide care for our residents in the rest home and residents in the flexibeds at hospital care.
Physiotherapist Yes A fully qualified physiotherapist works for at least 3 hours per week. An physiotherapist assistant works four days per week and works under the supervision of the physiotherapist.
Occupational Therapist Negotiable The rest home will access the services of an occupational therapist for a resident if and when the need arises. This expense will be passed on to the individual resident.
Own Social Worker Yes We have an experienced social worker, who works on site twice weekly to assist residents with any problems or concerns. She is involved with independent satisfaction surveys and support residents in various areas of their life.
Diversional Therapist Yes A recreational therapist is working forty hours per week. She works in close relationship with our volunteers to enhance our activity programs. The activity programs are developed to address all the domains in a person's life.
Activities Co-ordinator Yes We have an activities coordinator who works alongside with our diversional therapist. He is taking the residents on the weekly or twice weekly bustrips to various destinations. A popular destination is Lynnmall!
Hairdresser Yes A hairdresser provides services in a fully equipped salon on site at least once per week. She is flexible and comes often more days per week, depending on the needs of the residents. This service is provided at the resident's own expense.
Podiatrist Yes A podiatrist visits our facility six weekly or as requested by either staff or doctors. Residents are also able to make appointments directly. Charges vary according to the individual resident's circumstances.
Dietitian Yes A dietitian provides assistance for individual residents as required in conjunction with our Kitchen Manager. She reviews biannual all menus, food variety and quality as well. She conducts an annual quality audit of our kitchen facilities and food.
Kaumatua No We do however have an established relationship with the Manurewa Marae and consult with cultural advisors particularly in regard to the Maori and Pacific Island cultures.
Chaplain/Spiritual Advisor Yes A chaplain who is based on site, visits our residents regularly and welcomes interaction with residents of all religious backgrounds. She is particularly skilled in providing guidance in relation to end of life care and conducts services in the chapel.
Other Personnel Yes We have a number of volunteers who are involved in a range of activities in the resthome. We warmly welcome anyone interested in volunteering to contact us.

Special Features
Beautiful views of the Waitemata harbour. Peaceful environment. Park-like gardens which are well maintained. We also offer a comprehensive continuum of care as we provide Boarding Services also in our Villas and other areas in the facility. The Boardering Services include provision of three meals per day and cleaning services to otherwise independent and able individuals in either our rental Villas or within a room in other areas of our facility. This allows individuals who require some support to maintain their independence for longer while having the security of knowing that help is close at hand if needed. This also allows for a smoother transition into resthome and hospital care if required at a later date.

Details re Meals We have a Summer Menu and a Winter Menu which change with the season. Menus are planned for a month at a time, with no repetition during the month period. We are able to provide individualised menus or meals if the resident has dietary constrictions, but the cost incurred shall be passed on to the resident.
Staffing Details Kitchen manager is in charge of the kitchen and the dining rooms. She is an experienced qualified cook. Two cooks and one kitchen assistant work in the kitchen 7 days a week.
Associated Complexes The Everil Orr facilities include a rest home, hospital, boarding rooms and retirement units which are available for rental.
