MISSION STATEMENT - The relief, care, welfare and benefit of aged needy persons within the geographic area previously known as the Mangonui County and Kaitaia Borough.
PHILOSOPHY - We believe that the dignity, privacy and individual rights of all people must be maintained at all times and that their needs should be provided for with patience, understanding, empathy and respect, with a consistency high standard. We recognise the special relationship between Iwi and the Crown and appreciate that the principles of the Treaty of Waitangi; partnership, participation and protection must underpin any Maori health strategies that we develop. | Golden Age Club caters for the well elderly providing social days out for elder people. We offer good company, fun, refreshments, light lunch, transport if require. Free of charge.
Alz Club a community dementia day care programme providing a fun day out for the person with dementia and a day off for the caregiver. Free of charge. Attendance to both the Day Care centres is by referral only. Volunteer Service: volunteers always welcome. Respite Care and Carer Support available. |

A 1940s Extravaganza, where staff performed and dressed in the fourties spirit bought back many fond memories for our residents.
